Carmel Valley is a large community located east of the 5 freeway and bordered on the north by Del Mar in San Diego County. A master plan community containing a series of residential neighborhoods on the mesas, Carmel Valley is nestled within canyons of open space. The open space allows freedom to bike, skate, run and walk for homeowners, and Carmel Valley’s Community Park includes a sports facility with a swimming pool and gym and playing fields and musical concerts in the summer. Many residents commute to Sorrento Mesa or Sorrento Valley, although there is a business park in Carmel Valley.
