Last spring, in the midst of difficult housing market conditions, we embarked on an ambitious plan of selling our home in Sorrento Valley and buying a new house in Carmel Valley before the start of the upcoming school year. While this was our ideal scenario, we also had a backup plan since houses were not selling very quickly in our neighborhood.
